HBA awards to recognise industry talent
Colgate-Palmolive are to receive awards at the HBA Gala Event in
recognition of significant contributions to the cosmetic, toiletry
and fragrance industries.
Representatives from Estee Lauder, Avon Products, and Colgate-Palmolive are to receive awards at the HBA Gala Event in recognition of significant contributions to the cosmetic, toiletry and fragrance industries.
The New Product R&D Technical Award is to be shared by John Curtis, associate director, technology; Peter Santarpia, technical associate; Michael Collins, senior technical associate; and Robin Cabanas, manager, technology, at Colgate-Palmolive, for their work on Simply White Clear Whitening Gel.
The Lifetime Achievement in Product Development Award was won by Harvey Gedeon, senior vice president, global research and development of The Estee Lauder Companies.
The Packaging Executive of the Year Award will be presented to Kathy Kordowski, vice president of package engineering & marketing Services of Avon Products.
The Lifetime Achievement Award: Advancement of Beauty through Science goes to Dr. Kligman, emeritus professor of dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and director of the Aging Skin Clinic at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.
Evelyn Lauder of The Estee Lauder Companies will also receive an industry donation for her efforts with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The event will conclude with the announcement of the Fourth Annual International Package Design Awards, recognizing the role that packaging plays in the cosmetics and skin care industry.
The presentations will take place at the industry awards dinner, on Tuesday 30 September, the opening night of the 11th Annual Health & Beauty America event, at the New York Hilton. The HBA event runs from 30 September - 2 October at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York and is one of the leading cosmetic and personal care product development events in North America.
