2024 NYSCC Suppliers’ Day: New additions

As detailed in a recent organizational press release, this year’s upcoming NYSCC “Suppliers’ Day will feature more than 100 hours of scientific and marketing conference sessions and curated educational programs, and 560+ global exhibitors on its sold-out exhibit floor showcasing novel ingredients, formulas, processing, advanced scientific testing equipment and more.” 

In addition to tried-and-true programming, such as the SCC’s intensive education courses and Discover Sustainability presentations, the NYSCC has added some new programs and attractions befitting this year’s theme: “Inspire. Innovate. Celebrate.”

New educational programming 

“Innovation and excitement in the beauty world are strong with science-backed products in demand,” stated the NYSCC’s recent press release covering the upcoming Suppliers’ Day event. In alignment with this industry trend, the organization’s Scientific Advisory Committee will offer three new educational programming options at this year’s show. 

The first program is entitled “Hair: Inspiration & Innovation​,” and it will focus on “scalp condition and care, hair fiber surface, hair loss prevention, as well as inclusivity and self-acceptance,” according to the press release. 

The second program, “Biotechnology in Beauty & Personal Care​,” is designed to introduce “exciting new technologies that are producing sustainable active cosmetic ingredients,” the press release shared. The release confirmed this program will cover innovations in sunscreen and synthetic biology.

“Inspiration & Innovation in NutriCosmetics​” is the title for the third new program, which will explore “hair and dietary supplements, nutrition, cosmetics, as well as nutraceuticals, that foster inner and outer beauty and wellness,” the release said. 

Other new additions for 2024

Also new this year is the addition of the Inspiration Zone​, which will feature “breakthrough innovations from worldwide ingredients and formulations suppliers curated by BEAUTYSTREAMS,” a leading industry data insights firm. The press release detailed further that “this must-attend dedicated area of Suppliers’ Day will inspire product development teams to take their creativity and brand formulations to the next level.” 

Returning NYSCC Suppliers’ Day attendees will also experience the Plug-In To Inspiration Charging Station​ for the first time at this year’s show. This exhibit “will feature a look in the rear-view mirror to the decades of inspiration spearheaded by the NYSCC,” the release said. 

From there, attendees can also “visit the Head Shot Studio​, which is available to enhance attendees' LinkedIn profiles and career advancement.” This is designed to provide “an opportunity to share what inspired them on the Suppliers’ Day show floor.” As confirmed by the press release, this is also a new addition to the 2024 program. 

Finally, two new lunch and learn topics for this year’s show are slated to focus on The Future of the Cosmetic Industry: Challenges & Opportunities ​and Fragrance: The Invisible Art​. In addition to these educational offerings, “PCPC and its European counterpart, IKW, will present Cosmetic Regulation—Building Successful Compliance, ​a timely update on MoCRA, product quality and safety, and more,” the release concluded.
