“Our new satellite office solidifies our position as members of the Chicagoland community and reflects our continued commitment to this world-class city," says Mary Dillon, CEO of Ulta Beauty in a company press release about the new office space.
The space is shaping up to be a sort of corporate co-working environment, with as many as 100 shared workstations, conference areas, and rooms the company is calling “collaborative huddle and multipurpose rooms.”
Mobile workforce
Ulta is further investing in its suburban headquarters and renovating the Bolingbrook location too. The facility update “will be marked by bright, open spaces to reflect the company's recently defined brand identity that invites shoppers to explore the ‘Fun Side of Beauty’,” notes the company press release.
The new offices are meant to be convenient and inviting too, for both prospective and existing employees as well as for company partners. “A Chicago location offers our existing employees more flexibility and the ability to collaborate with business partners in new ways, and it will also help us continue to attract the top talent we need to fuel our growth,” explains Dillon.
Location, location, location
It’s of course great news for the city that such a prominent company is coming to downtown Chicago. “We welcome Ulta Beauty to the downtown business community,” says World Business Chicago President & CEO Jeff Malehorn in the press release, adding that “this announcement further supports World Business Chicago's mission to put Chicago at the forefront of the global economy by supporting businesses that are creating jobs and cultivating top talent.”
The building is similarly pleased with its new tenant. "We are very excited that Ulta Beauty has selected 120 South Riverside Plaza as its downtown office location. With its prime West Loop location, efficient floorplates, extensive outdoor areas and abundant amenities, 120 South Riverside Plaza continues to attract premier tenants from a broad range of industries," Timothy Callahan, CEO of Callahan Capital Properties tells the press.
