Parlux reports sales and profits rise

Parlux Fragrances has reported that its financial year 2004 earnings rose 14 per cent to US$6.3 million (€5.2 m), from US$5.5 million (€4.5), last year.

Perfume manufacturer and distributor Parlux Fragrances said that its revenue for the last financial year rose 12 per cent to just over US$80 million (€66 m), an increase of around US$8 million on the year before.

The Florida-based fragrance maker said it ended the 2004 financial year without any borrowings under its line of credit or any long-term debt for the first time in its 20-year history.

As reported in an earlier CosmeticsDesign.com article Parlux signed a global license agreement in May with Paris Hilton to manufacture and distribute a fragrance under her name later this year.

Parlux will also launch a new GUESS? fragrance internationally in the summer of 2005. Other company brand names include Perry Ellis, Fred Hayman Beverly Hills,Chaleur de Animale, Ocean Pacific and Jockey.
