Furthermore, because of its budget pricing, Colonial Chemical says that the ingredient is ideal for a range of economy-focused personal care products.
It is said to be a good accompaniment to formulations with mild cleansing properties and furthermore it gives such personal care products good foaming properties. To this end Coladet GBP can be incorporated into facial washes, feminine washes, perineal washes and multiple use hand soaps. It would also be useful in bubble baths and liquid bath products.
Products made with the ingredient can also be opacified by the addition of a latex polymer or a glycol ester. Furthermore it is easily dispersible in cold or warm water and the viscosity can be increased with the addition of salts or polymers.
The ingredient has a hazy yellow appearance and is comprised of 50 per cent solids, with a pH of 6.5.
Available in 204kg drums, it is recommended that safety equipment such as goggles and gloves are used when handling the ingredient.
