Lessonia expands its natural exfoliant range

Natural ingredients supplier Lessonia has expanded its exfoliant range with the launch of four new products that the company says are in keeping with market demands for quality and innovation.

Indeed the France-based company appears to have gone to the four corners of Earth to source the ingredients, which are based on extracts of Argan nut, bamboo, guarana and pearl.

Each ingredient is said to offer a disctinct texture, perfume and colour that can be incorporated into a wide range of products and are, perhaps most importantly, all entirely natural.

Natural-based ingredients have become increasingly popular in recent years, as consumers move away from products that contain harsh chemicals on the back of health fears.

Lessonia says that its Moroccan-sourced Argan nut exfoliant taps into growing interest for the ingredient's anti-ageing properties, while both bamboo and guarana have rejuvenation properties and ground pearl has multi-purpose exfoliant properties that should fit well with luxury and premium products.

The pearl exfoliant is expected to sit particularly well with marketers of premium products because of the pearl's association with oppulance and wealth.

The company says that the addition of the new ingredients means that its Exfoliator range now reaches 80 different products, making it one of Europe's leading exfoliant suppliers.

Other ingredients include Lapp cranberry, African chocolate, Vietnamese lotus, Indian ginger, Chinese luffa, Mediteranean rhyolite andBrazilian coffee.

The range, which is supplied to the cosmetics and spa industry worldwide, comprises different granulometries, consisting of 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 microns, with the finest blends suited to facial formulations and the coarser blends better suited to body scrubs.
