The Luxe Pack Trends & Market Observer, is a forum focused on providing qualitative and quantitative studies on the area, as well as a series of conferences led by industry specialists, the organisers say.
"The number one strength of Luxe Pack lies in its ability to make diversity rhyme with quality," a spokesperson for the show says.
More than 315 exhibitors will be present at this year's show, which is taking place at the Grimaldi Forum, numbers that have led the organisers to increase the surface area devoted to show compared to last year.
Focusing on the emergence, forecasting and validating of trends, the conferences will feature a pool of experts that will share their vision and inside information with attendees.
The conference programme will include Marc Rosen, an internationally renown designer of luxury packaging focusing on the specific issues relating to the current hot topic of anti-ageing treatments. His presentation will emphasise the trick of how the packaging can be used to reinforce the promises made by these treatments.
Other presentations will be given by the German industry publication Creativverpacken, which will give an overview of current leaders in the luxury packaging field, as well as addressing the question on every industry specialist's lips, 'What prospects exist for the presentation of luxury products?'
Meanwhile, another industry publication, Formes de Luxe, will be giving a presentation on traceability by presenting a solution that combats counterfeiting and parallel markets.
The conferencing will be rounded up by the Dragon Rouge agency, which will also give a presentaiton specifically addressing the benefits of producing luxury brands under a global design strategy, backed up by the investigation of new design channels.
Under the title Luxe Pack Trends & Market Observer, this platform will act as a means of disseminating information on luxury trends through an open conferencing programme that will include a panel of six experts from industry and media.
The panel for this forum will provide key figures from a qualitative study on the luxury packaging market that will provide previously unpublished key figures about the sector.
The organisers say that this study will become an on-going concern, providing the industry with vital information about current trends characterising the sector.
Finally, the show will also be featuring two 'special design' exhibitions - one featuring the work of students from the Ecole Boulle, the other featuring work from the respected designer Chad Lavigne.
