The new packaging collection includes a hand-picked solid bleached sulphate boards, folding boxboards and CTMP board, designed to meet specific packaging requirements and applications.
The company says it has developed Ensocoat and Ensogloss boards to provide enhanced whiteness and printability, convertability and dimensional ability, while Printocart and Printocart Luxe are folding billboards designed with hightened smoothness, strength and stiffness.
The line also includes Neocart, Tambrite and Tamwhite to complete the folding box range, while Performa White is said to provide toughness and runnability due to its CTMP structure.
But to back up the new cosmetic packaging lines, the company has also developed PackAgent, a brand protection solution that is primarily aimed at fragrances and other high-end cosmetic and toiletry products.
Based on RFID, PackAgent is a software solution to ensure product authentication and tracking, that in turn can help to prevent counterfeit products as well as the proliferation of grey distribution channels, while improving efficiency in the supply chain.
According to Stora Enso, the technology can be easily incorporated into an company's supply chain management system, providing the opportunity to make product recalls from points-of-sale.
The company says it has already successfully tested the system with a leading Estonian pharmaceutical company, Orion, and is now ready to roll the technology out to a variety of consumer-based industries, including the cosmetics and toiletries segment.
