Infor's ERP SX.enterprise has been introduced into all of the company's North American production facilities, to give the company a 'holistic view of the entire enterprise'.
This in turn provides enhanced customer service and operational efficiency.
Nabil Ajineh, CIO for Farouk Systems, said that Infor's solution was particularly pertinent because it addressed both the company's vertical and horizontal business operation requirements.
Ajineh said that very few companies were able to offer a solution that addressed all aspects of supply chain management, which was the main reason his company had opted for this solution.
The company is also building on past work experience with Infor.
For example, it has already deployed its software expertise to help turn around its distribution operations.
The installations of the previous software package led to supposed improvements in data and inventory management, together with order accuracy and customer service levels.
Ajineh also said that Adage would help the company to react quickly to market changes, enabling it to forecast product demand more accurately and to make changes to production planning, ultimately improving market share.
"Infor recognizes that many companies run distribution businesses alongside their manufacturing operations and need these business areas to operate in tandem to optimize business performance and maximize profitability," said Mike Frichol, Infor's vice president of industry and product marketing.
"Our business-specific solutions have years of experience built in and can be integrated to provide a company with an end-to-end solution, from concept to consumer."
Infor's ERP Adage platform has been developed to help fast moving consumer goods industries, such as the personal care, food and pharmaceutical sectors.
It is targeted at production efficiencies as well as enhancing all elements of the supply chain.
In recent years the supply chain has become an increasingly important aspect of the business for personal care players to focus on, with the leading players often saving many millions of dollars each year from investing in solutions to enhance efficiencies.
