Beraca extends its reach into Europe
The company says that the move is the first step in its plans to become more internationalised as it is the first concrete representation for the company outside of the domestic market
The company already exports to more than 40 countries worldwide and has developed a niche as a leading player in the growing market for natural-based active ingredients.
Heart of European cosmetics
Sourcing many of its ingredients with sustainable and fairtrade principles from Brazil’s huge swathes of arable lands and rainforests, the company is positioning itself in the heart of the European cosmetics industry.
As well as being the home of some of the world’s leading cosmetic manufacturers, including names like L’Oreal, Clarins and LVMH, France also has one of the world’s largest per capita spends on personal care products
Likewise it has also developed as one of the largest markets for natural and organic cosmetics, while a recent market report from Organic Monitor also pointed to the fact that France in the leading European market for fairtrade products.
Serving Europe and the East
Beraca’s Paris office was opened during the course of the summer and is being built up to become the centre of the company’s dealings with French manufacturers, as well as other markets in Europe and the East.
“Our prospects are looking strong as Beraca’s internationalisation policy has seen the company grow from strength to strength in recent years,” said Filipe Sabará, company business director.
“Now that the company has a local base in the European market we are expecting our growth to be exponential,” he added.
Ecocert certification
Two years ago Beraca was granted Ecocert certification for its range of organic personal care ingredients, an event that enabled it to tap into the fast-growing European market for natural and organic cosmetic products.
Currently Beraca's range of Ecocert products include Açai Oil; Andiroba Oil; Buriti Oil; Pracaxi Oil; Cupuaçu Butter; Murumuru butter and Ucuuba butter, products that are used in a variety of natural and organic based products, including soaps, moisturising creams and hair care products.
