In the 5th year of the competition the packaging giant is showcasing one of its newest releases, the one handed, mechanical EZi foamer.
Market for baby products growing
This year’s competition has a focus on baby products – a growing market according to Caspar Klieman, foam products manager at Rexam.
“In the US, and around the world, the market for personal care products for infants continues to grow.
“Segment acceleration is helped by elevated birthrates for women aged 30 plus with higher disposable incomes,” he said.
According to Kleiman, the EZi foamer is perfect for baby products as its one handed dispensing operation is a great help to mothers bathing active children.
Water-resistant foamer
In addition, the EZi foamer creates a rich foam without drips whilst protecting the product inside from water contamination.
The competition is open to manufacturers, contract packagers, distributors and formulators and awards a corporate prize of $10,000.
The winner of last year’s award was Andrea Frayser, president of natural products manufacturer Ande Cosmetics, with a soothing after sun product designed for Rexam’s air spray container.
Frayser called the challenge a ‘great opportunity’ for a small company to ‘gain international recognition’.
