Zorbit, which is also based in New York, says that the joint venture allows it access to Paul T. Freund's 150,000 square foot facility in Palnyra, NY, while creating one of the most comprehensive and fully integrated printing and box making facilities in North America.
“The decision to expand and diversify our manufacturing base was driven both in response to our clients’ ever-changing needs and priorities; as well as macroeconomic shifts in the global economy,” said CEO Tom Butkiewicz.
Maximizing synergies and capabilities
He added that the joint venture gave the company the opportunity to maximize operational synergies in an effort to give the business a competitive advantage in the global market.
The facilities include in-house offset printing with the in line UV coating, automatic die casting, automatic folding and gluing, hotstamping, silkscreening and embossing.
Zorbit says that it has contributed towards the further expansion and modification of the facility by helping to fund the implementation of in-house vacuum forming equipment.
Handling complicated boxing techniques
The company also said the addition of two new Europrogetti automatic wrapping machines enables it to employ complicated boxing techniques that rivals cannot match.
Zorbit claims that the addition of the new wrapping machines and the joint venture with Paul T. Freund all contribute towards client needs for procurement and replenishment.
"While we continue to grow and expand our manufacturing base in China, having equally impressive manufacturing facilities here in teh US has given the company the opportunity to optimize operational synergiestp further strengthen our competitiveness in the market place," said Butkiewicz.
