HBA says it is lending its support throughout 2009 to the two organizations and will be collaborating with them on a professional development program as part of efforts to underline education, networking capabilities and opportunities in the personal care industry.
Many key industry players are members of these two industry associations, claiming that membership has helped them to boost their career opportunities and their businesses.
HBA hosts CEW and ICMAD
Jamie Kern Lima, co-founder and CEO of It Cosmetics, says she first found out about CEW and ICMAD at the HBA event, and that having joined both has enabled her to grow her business and gain mentoring advice.
As part of its co-operation with CEW, HBA was an official sponsor the CEW Beauty Awards back in February, and also gives exclusive discounts to members attending its forthcoming trade show in September.
As part of its association with ICMAD, HBA is sponsoring the annual Young Designer Competition for personal care packaging, the results of which will be announced at the HBA trade show.
ICMAD hosts HBA conference
ICMAD will also be hosting a conference session at the show entitled, ‘Building Your Company from Concept to Market,’ which will form part of the comprehensive conference program at the event.
The 17th HBA show is due to take place at the Jacob Javits Convention in New York City 15 – 17 September.
The event will showcase key industry areas from packaging to formulation, while the exhibition and educational programs will focus on aspects such as marketing, technical issues and the naturals trend.
