Cosmeceuticals Conference to discuss latest innovations

The sixth annual Cosmeceuticals Conference kicks off in New York at the end of the month with talks covering, regulation, innovation, and business opportunities.

The two-day Incisive Media event begins on June 29 at the Marriot New York East Side and is chaired by Navin Geria, VP of Research and Development at SpaDermaceutical Products Group.

Geria said: “This trend-setting event has for five years brought renowned scientific researchers and business leaders, from both the dermatological and global beauty industry, together to develop and promote the latest innovations that continually redefine our business.”

The specific topics to be discussed include the anti-aging potential of Sirtuin activation and dual-DNA repair, along with FDA standards and global regulatory changes.

Keynote speakers

The opening keynote speech at the conference will be given by Howard D. Sobel, Director, NY Skin and Spa Cosmetic Surgery Center, whose talk is called “The Evolution of Cosmeceuticals… Where We Were, Where We Are, Where We Are Going”.

The other keynote speaker is Neil Sadick, Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Weill Cornell Medical College and Global Medical Advisor for Christian Dior Beauty.

On the second day of the conference, Sadick will give an overview of advances in cosmeceuticals, discussing the challenges of R&D, and new ingredients, technologies and approaches to skin care.

Each session at the conference groups together talks on related subjects such as skin aging, regulation and business opportunities.

Big name speakers

Some of the other big names to be speaking at the conference include Daniel H. Maes, PhDSenior VP, Research and Development, at Estee Lauder Companies, who will discuss Sirtuin activation and its anti-aging potential, and Dr. Janice J. Teal, Group VP and Chief Science Officer, Avon Products, who will explore the development of breakthrough technologies with strategic partnerships.
