Estee Lauder introduces facial skin repair technology

Estee Lauder has launched Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recover Complex, which is claimed to be a breakthrough in facial skin repair.

The company says that the technology is the culmination of extensive research in the field of genetic aging, which helps provide continuous and optimized night-time repair.

The facial cream combines Chronolux technology, which is said to combine with the natural skin repair mechanism to enhance the skin cell repair and protection process, alongside a new patented technology that encapsulates Alky Guanine Transferase (AGT), which helps to repair visible damage caused by environmental assaults.

Synchronizing the skin cell clock

Estee Lauder says that the crucial discovery made during its research is the fact that each skin cell contains its own ‘clock’ that dictates its DNA repair mechanism, rather than the previous belief that there was a ‘master clock’ which achieved cellular synchronization.

The fact that cells have their own clock means that the natural synchronization of these cells can be compromised, causing the cellular repair and protective process to slow down, ultimately compromising DNA repair.

Bearing this discovery in mind, the research and development team at Estee Lauder formulated the new facial repair product to target this problem, using the Chronulux technology as a means of obtaining cell synchronization.

Preventation and rehydration

As well as providing the synchronization and the enhanced environmental repair, the company says that the product also provides prevention and rehydration properties from a blend of antioxidants and hyaluronic acid.

The inclusion of this blend is said to help safeguard the skin by neutralizing up to 90 percent of environmentally-generated free radicals.

Estee Lauder is currently promoting the new launch in the US through a scheme that will see 250,000 10-day samples of the product distributed in specialty and department stores country-wide.
