The Museum of Modern Art (MoMa), Parson’s the New School for Design and science magazine Seed are also involved in the event which is taking place on Friday, March 26 at Parson’s in New York.
The event will unite perfumers, designers, scientists, artists and scholars to discuss the potential of scent as a new territory for design.
“New science is exploring the ways in which scent stimulates cognition, memory, and the production of experience. This symposium will generate a dialogue on what this means for designers and architects," said Paola Antonelli, senior curator in the Department of Architecture and Design at MoMA.
