According to MWV, Adagio is the lowest profile pump able to dispense 0.500ml of product, and is ideal for use in moisturizers, sunscreens, lotions and hair serums.
“Adagio is unique in that it is the only pump dispenser in the marketplace that pairs a high output pump with a low profile aesthetic,” said Eva Martin Fernandez, marketing manager in Europe for Personal Care Products at MWV.
Pure Path Technology
The Italy-produced Adagio pump uses the company’s Pure Path Technology, which allows the liquid to be dispensed without coming into contact with any metal components that might discolour the formula.
This is achieved by placing the metal spring outside of the fluid pathway, thus reducing potential compatibility issues.
In addition, the dispensing pump features a lock-up system to prevent product being accidentally dispensed, and a ‘suck-back’ effect, which, according to the company, works to suck any unused product back into the bottle, thus preventing residue build-up.
Enhancements to Aria and Aria Airless
In addition to creating the Adagio pump, MWV has enhanced its Aria and Aria Airless dispensing pumps.
According to the company, the Aria dispenser delivers a consistent small output of either 0.170ml or 0.250ml making it ideal for make-up and facial treatments as well as other cosmetic products.
A valve seal has been added to both Aria and Aria Airless, which ensures that cream-based products do not dry out in the spout of the pump and affect product delivery.
MWV will be presenting the Adagio pump, as well as presenting the enhancements to the Aria and Aria Airless products at the up-coming Cosmoprof tradeshow in Bologna Italy between April 15-18.
