HBA to hold brand equity and packaging design webinar

Health and Beauty America (HBA) has announced that it is holding a webinar on May 7, entitled Brand Equity & Iconic Design.

The event will focus on how personal care companies can update their packaging design to fall in line with new trends without sacrificing the integrity or identity of the brand, a challenge that is described by the event organizer as a ‘bit of a balancing act’.

The webinar will feature some of the leading voices from the industry on how to make decisions that will boost the brand’s status and its presence in the beauty market.

New design while retaining brand identity

One of the key speakers will be Ted Owen of Clinique, who will discuss how to approach integrating the latest packaging technologies into a new design, while still retaining the brand’s identity.

Another speaker will be Mike Branson of Pearlfisher, who will talk about ways to design future ‘iconic’ brands, as opposed to developing already established brands.

The moderator for the event will be Ron Romanik, editor-in-chief of Packaging Design Magazine, who will be encouraging discussion on the topic through a comprehensive question and answer session at the end of the presentations.

Subsription details

The event will take place at 11am, lasts for 60 minutes and costs $77 for registration, while group rates can be negotiated. For more information and to subscribe, please contact the event organizers here.

HBA holds the biggest beauty industry event in North America, which runs from September 28 – 30 and will be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in mid-town Manhattan.

In recent years the HBA conference program has been developed into an integral part of the show through a series of presentations tackling key trends, scientific breakthroughs, new technologies and marketing strategies.
