The company is rolling out an extension to its portfolio that includes hair care, sun care and natural antiperspirant ingredients all aimed at global markets.

Lachemi recently launched the ingredients at the in-cosmetics event, held in Paris April 13 – 15, and is also planning to debut the products for the North American market at the forthcoming Supplier’s Day, in New Jersey, May 11 – 12.

The new ingredients include La ‘Care Natural hair care, which is derived from oils used in ayurveda principles, La ‘Deo antiperspirant, which is aluminium and phthalate free, together with La ‘Derm, a natural sun care range derived from plant, herb and seed extracts.

Meeting growing demand in India and for naturals worldwide

The company is expanding its product portfolio on the back of growing demand for personal care products in the fast-growing Indian consumer market, as well as significant growth in the market for natural care products worldwide.

La ‘Care has been prepared with oils that help to moisturise the scalp, in turn helping to provide essential nutrients for normal function of sebaceous glands. ultimately helping to promote hair growth, the company says.

The ingredient also contains several herbs and vitamins, as well as DHT or Dihydrotestorone blockers, which helps control DHT production by halting the testosterone synthesis by 5-Alpha Reductase, which is known to prevent hair growth.

Natural deodorant solution

La ‘Deo has been developed to respond to consumer concerns over antiperspirants by combining the astringent and deodorant properties of plant and herb extracts such as citrus aurantium, lavendula angusifolia, aloe barbadensis and eucalyptus globules.

The company says that it has combined these ingredients in the product following research into the bacteria that cause body odour, allowing it to specifically provide checks and control targeted at the bacteria.

La ‘Derm suncare soltuion combines antioxidants, vitamin E, C and A, together with a range of plant and herb extracts that include santalum album, tricticum vulgare, citrus aurantium and simmondsia chinensis to provide targeted UVA and UVB protection, the company says.

Sun care aimed at fighting collagen breakdown

The product is said to work by promoting anti-oxidant activity, in turn defending free radical production and thus preventing collagen breakdown and premature ageing of the skin.

This means that the product specifically helps protect collagen against sun-induced damage leading to lines and wrinkling as well as dark spots that can all be linked to premature ageing of the skin.

Lachemi specialises in products that combine natural ingredients with Ayurveda to produce an expansive range of natural actives, cosmeceuticals, herbal preservatives and special chemicals for the personal care industry.
