Clariant announces price increases

Specialty chemicals company Clariant has announced price increases in its Industrial and Consumer Specialties division of up to 15 percent.

According to Clariant, this is due to ‘strong rising oleochemical and petrochemical feedstock costs during the first half of 2010, as well as higher transportation and energy costs’.

The Switzerland-based company said the increases will affect its entire product portfolio in this division, and are effective immediately.
