Big industry names to participate in Color Cosmetics Summit 2010

The conference program for the forthcoming Color Cosmetics Summit 2010 has just been announced and will include representation from companies such as Estée Lauder and L’Oreal.

Organizers IntertechPira and the event advisory board said key speakers will include Dr Issac Cohen and Steve Schnittger of Estée Lauder, as well as Dr Laurent Vidal of L’Oreal and Sarah Major of MAC Cosmetics.

They will all be giving key presentations addressing the latest trends and technologies relevant to the formulation of products in this category at the event, which will take place over three days, from 18 – 20 October, at The Hilton Penn Station, in Newark, New Jersey.

Pre-conference seminar on color cosmetics

The program will consist of an optional pre-conference seminar on October 18 focused on specific aspects of color cosmetics, which will include a morning seminar highlighting two specific areas of this subject in morning and afternoon sessions.

The morning session for the first day will start off with a presentation called, ‘Introduction to the Technology of Pigments and Colorants’, which will be given by Ed Faulkner of Sun Chemical.

The afternoon session will focus on a presentation entitled ‘How to Deliver Successful Color Stories’, which will be given by Valerie MacKenzie of MAC Cosmetics.

Two day technical program focused on pigments

Following on from the one day program will be a two day technical program, which will consist of approximately 20 speakers, focused on the latest technologies and advances in the pigments sector.

Confirmed speakers include EMD, JDH Consulting, Sabinsa, TRI/Princeton and BASF, while presentations will be interactive in nature, including question and answer sessions for each presentation and numerous networking opportunities.
