Nina Ricci promotes new fragrance with music video

The latest Nina Ricci fragrance from Puig will be promoted with a music video featuring British singer-songwriter Florrie.

Nina L’Elixir is the latest fragrance launched under the Nina Ricci brand and is described as a ‘luxurious love potion’ concentrated in an eau de parfum.

In order to promote this month’s launch of the fragrance, the brand has created a music video that forms the basis of the advertising campaign, which has then been edited down into a version suitable for TV commercials.

Described as a modern fairytale, the video features Florrie interpreting the song ‘Sunday Girl’ by Blondie.

The iconic apple

The iconic apple shape, reminiscent of some of the first designs for Nina Ricci fragrances back in the 1950s, plays a central role in the packaging of this latest addition, as well as the campaign.

Shaped as an apple, the crystal bottle has a deep red color that fades into a transparent gold at the base.

Gold leaves at the bottle cap also take inspiration from the butterfly leaves that featured on the original apple bottle for Fille d’Eve, designed by Robert Ricci and Marc Lalique in 1952.

In the fantasy world created in the video, giant apples cover the forest floor and fruit are suspended between the trees.

According to the company, the fragrance designed by Olivier Cresp is based on woody, amber notes to give a sensual oriental accord, which are then complemented by cedarwood, cotton musk and warm amber.

Fresh notes of Calabrian lemon and Caipirinha lime give Nina L’Elixir a spicy dash, according to the company.
