Fusion launches new lower cost airless range

Fusion Packaging has launched a new airless packaging range to answer demand for lower cost airless packs.

Once the reserve of high-end or cosmeceutical products, airless packaging is moving into the mainstream and Fusion says its new Capri line answers this demand.

“Consumers are becoming more and more educated on airless packaging and the benefits it offers such as dispensing nearly 100 percent of the formula and they are now expecting it from their favorite brands whether they shop in a drugstore or department store,” spokesperson for the company Casey Allen told CosmeticsDesign.com USA.

The Capri line is a single wall airless bottle that can be offered at competitive pricing, meaning that it can be used by mass and masstige brands that previously thought airless was too expensive, Allen explained

Polypropylene is used for the bottle, which the company says is an eco friendly material as it can be recycled when some other resins cannot. In addition, the model does not need an overcap, therefore eliminating another plastic part.

“The actuator and collar make up the closure so an overcap is not needed,” Allen said.

Square nozzle stands out from the crowd

With its square nozzle and channel the Capri bottle stands out from the majority of airless bottles which have a round nozzle, but remains simple and modern, the company said.

While it can be offered to clients at a competitive price, the company said the performance of the new line is not compromised.

“Capri utilizes the same airless engine as all of our airless items which deliver 3-5 pumps to prime and have no metal contact with the formula,” Allen added.
