Key to this year’s event is the focus on three specific tracks, representing the different areas of packaging. Those tracks will include beauty – which is the mainstay for the event, together with tracks for wine and spirits, and fine foods.
Not only does this help orientate visitors to the event, but it also provides a clearer picture of the specific industry trends and product launches being highlighted throughout the exhibition floor.
Specialized tracks make things clearer
“Luxe Pack developed the specialized tracks to assist visitors who are looking for something specific to their market, while having access to all the exhibitors in all the tracks,” said Nathalie Grosdidier, executive director at Luxe Pack New York.
“We will provide information at the show that will allow them to easily find the companies who specialize in their market,” she said in an exclusive interview with CosmeticsDesign.com USA.
The tracking system will also help visitors to find their way around the event, which has continued to show steady grown each successive year since its inception in 2003.
Ten brand new exhibitors
As well as leading packaging manufacturers such as ABA Packaging, Cartondruck, Geka, Fusion Packaging, Knoll, Heinz Glass and Henkel, this year’s event will also include an extra ten exhibitors that have not appeared before
Included amongst the ten new exhibitors at The Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavillion in mid-town Manhattan will be major industry players Hoffman Neopac, Kospak Industries, Amcor Flexibles and Stora Enso
“We wish we could expand the floor space available but we cannot make the venue bigger,” said Grosdidier. “We were however able to squeeze ten extra booths into the existing floor space at the venue.”
Crucial to any show about packaging is a focus on innovation, and this theme is underlined by both the seminar program as well as the selection of product launches that will be included at the event.
Showcasing new products
The event will also include a specific platform for new products, the Luxe Pack Innovation Forum, which will showcase some of the industry’s most current and creative solutions.
Highlights from the two-day seminar program will include a panel discussion called ‘The New Packaging Paradigm”, which will involve leading industries players and is organized by renowned designer Marc Rosen.
Another presentation entitled “Design as a Strategic Advantage”, will be given by Marianne Rosner Kimchuck, associate chairperson from the Design Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
