According to the company, the new jars are an extension to the existing line of platinum colored jars and is primarily targeting companies that provide skin care formulations for creams, lotions and liquid foundations as a primary focus.
What makes this particular design stand out is the fact that it combines a sleek design with an airless pump mechanism, which the company claims helps to minimize product waste by completely emptying the container at the end of the product’s life.
The airless design of the pump also helps to prevent air from entering the container, which in turn helps to minimize the risk of product contamination, while also possibly reducing the need for certain types of preservatives in the formulation.
The two jars are available in both 15ml and 30ml sizes and are an extension to the company’s airless jar packaging line that was first introduced last year.
While dispensing has played an important part of the design, the aesthetics of the airless pump are also crucial, testified by the fact that it is available in a clear base with a silver cap.
“We now have a comprehensive collection of platinum colored airless bottles and jars which gives the cosmetic manufacturer a choice between jars and bottles,” said Sari Sternschein, director of market at Qosmedix.
The company says it has chosen to focus on the expansion of airless packaging because of all the benefits it offers to formulators, a factor that is testified by it huge growth in popularity in recent years.
“We thought it was necessary to continue expanding this category to meet the needs of our customers,” said Sternschein.
