Sugioka-Israel highlighted that sustainability is a key focus right now for cosmetics companies, and Mintel predicts this will remain the focus in the future as well.
Europe appears to be leading the way at present for sustainable products, with the US not quite fulfilling consumer demand at present and still searching for sustainable solutions.
However, Sugioka-Israel pointed out that companies are doing what they can when it comes to being more sustainable, and the industry has seen a rise in renewable energy initiatives, such as the installation of windpower and solar panels.
