People on the move: Cosmetics Jobs

Cosmetics Design presents the latest appointments in the cosmetics industry, including a new executive position at Kimberly-Clark, as well as appointments at Inolex and Actives International.

Kimberly-Clark has announced two major changes to its executive line-up, including the appointment of a new president of global brands as well as the retirement of a senior executive board member.

Tony Palmer will step up from his position as senior vice president and chief marketing officer to take up the key executive position of president for global brands and innovation.

Tony Palmer takes on Kimberly-Clark global brands

In the new position Palmer will be responsible for increasing the company business around the world, working to increase the global reach of the company’s leading brands, including Kleenex, Scott, Huggies, as well as personal care wipes such as KimWipes and DryNites.

Palmer joined the company in 2006 and had previously served managing director for the UK division of Kellogg Company.

Kimberly Clark has also announced the retirement of Jan Spencer, company senior vice president after more than 34 years with the company. Having most recently headed up the company’s far-reaching restructuring program, he is due to take retirement from July 1, 2012.

Inolex appointment personal care sales manager

Philadelphia-based Inolex has announced the hiring of John Highton as the company’s personal care sales manager, an appointment that coincides with the company’s significant expansion into the cosmetics arena through its investment in new cosmetic technologies.

Highton previously held the position of senior scientist at Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil Consumer Health Group, and had previously held positions at Pfizer’s consumer healthcare division, as well as being an active member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

Actives International has a new sales manager

Diana Smith has joined Actives International as sales manager, as well as director of east coast sales. In the role she will be responsible for key sales accounts, as well as representing all customers in the Northeast region and independent sales for the rest of the country.

Smith has extensive experience specific to the personal care sector, having most recently worked as global account manager and product line manager at ingredients company Presperse, together with working for a number of other ingredients and finished goods companies.
