Elizabeth Arden gets Bieber fever with latest acquisition

Fragrance house Elizabeth Arden has acquired the global licenses and related assets for the Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj fragrance brands from Give Pack Brands.

The first fragrance from Justin Bieber, Someday, launched in Spring 2011 and became the number one women's fragrance launch of the year in US department stores, according to NPD, with the second fragrance, Girlfriend, ready to launch this summer.

The first fragrance from Nicki Minaj is scheduled to launch at US department stores in the fall of 2012.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Elizabeth Arden expects the transaction to be accretive to earnings beginning in the first half of fiscal 2013.
