HBA Global Expo announce IPDA winners

Today is the third day of the HBA Global Expo in New York, which remains one of the biggest events on the calendar for North American packaging professionals, underlined by the tough competition in this year’s IPDA entries.

This year the competition was hot, with almost 200 entries spread across 11 different categories all competing for a chance for their packaging designs to shine.

This year's judges panel comprised a committe of 100 packaging professionals, designers and suppliers, as well as members of the beauty media.

The panels was looking for outstanding packaging on the basis of originality, design concept, creative use of materials, components and decorating processes, together with technical competency and brand messaging.

The Grand Award went to Sephora for its innovative Collection Brush Wand range, which the judges also commended in teh Tools/At Home Devices category. The collection has been pain-stakingly developed to consider every conceivable color cosmetic application and was noted for its innovative and creative approach.
