29th IFSCC Congress to ‘inspire, imagine and innovate’

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists is set to host the 29th IFSCC Congress whereby the theme is to ‘inspire, imagine and innovate’ industry professionals.

The 2016 Congress will be held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando and is set to focus on the depth of technology and high level of science taking place in the industry and its concepts for the future.

In keeping with the times, the SCC is utilizing QR Code technology to help promote the event and provide easy, accessible information through smart phone, tablet and Ipad forums. 

So far two Codes are said to have been introduced, with the most recent offering information to the Congress Logo and dates. More are to come over the next four years.

The organizing committee for the event includes representatives from Kobo Products, BASF and Chanel, who will be responsible for the scientific program including both podium and poster presentations.

The 29th IFSCC Congress will boast the most inspired, imagined and innovative science throughout the podium presentations and posters on display.”

Innovation and Responsibility’

In 2010, the 26th edition of the Congress focused on the ‘fundamental pillars’ of innovation and responsibility.

Over the four days presentations and speeches were given by industry experts from around the world on the latest developments in cosmetic science, as well as an in-depth analysis of ways in which the industry can commit to long term concerns about the environment.

Topics included an exploration of cosmetics formulations, sensorial responses, immune system and neurotransmitters as well as assessing new techniques and innovations in environmentally-friendly sun protection, hair care and anti-aging treatments.
