MakeUp New York event to be best yet as top players sign up
The third edition set to be held at a new venue, Center548, in the heart of the Chelsea Art District will feature suppliers of make-up ingredients, formulas, packaging manufacturers, full-service companies, designers and experts presenting on a whole range of innovations and trends.
Organisers Beauteam say that the event has so far been well received by both finished goods manufacturers and suppliers and will host twice as many exhibitors this year as compared to last year.
Director, Sandra Maguerin finds the recent rise in the event's popularity as confirming the strength of the concept, and that the main players in the category are starting to realise that the platform is real and unique.
“Those who are involved have realised that this is not a trade show in the classic sense of the term, but more of an event that will serve to help recognize the innovation as well as the research and development that are such vital aspects of this category.”
Amongst the aforementioned companies to have registered, two-thirds are said to be U.S. companies like Ama laboratories, Nastritex, Cavalla, Chemicos, Cosmetic Specialties International, and Hwa Sung.
Two-days of ‘non-stop’ conferences
Over two days the conference programme is set to include topics like the interaction between fashion and make-up and future trends in the area, while round tables will be dedicated to innovation and sustainable development.
Other highly topical subjects are to include 'Industrial Relocation, myth or reality?' and two lectures focused on two flagship products of the make-up sector, mascara and nail polish.
Finally, organisers say industry professionals will be treated to a debate that will address how a brand can create product concepts that appeal to different cultures successfully in a world concerned with global warming, environmental responsibility, animal ethics and world politics, of which Korea will be the main focus.
