‘New’ Albéa pumps up tube production with latest airless complete solution

The recent addition of Rexam Personal Care​ allows the new entity to expand its role as a complete packaging solutions provider adding the former’s expertise in fragrance pumps, lotion pumps and cosmetic closures to its arsenal.

The full range of innovative personal care packaging solutions from the ‘new’ Albéa is highlighted by its new, integrated airless tube and pump packs, which target a high-protection and cost-efficient format.

Unveiled at the Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna event, the new high-protection systems represent the enhanced capability of today’s ‘new’ Albéa, according to Carole Grassi, Albéa’s Lotion Category Manager.

First examples​

Valérie Lebelt, Tube Category Manager added: “The first examples of our new synergy are the tube + pump offerings showcased at Cosmoprof.”​

“The ‘new’ Albéa will help customers simplify product development efforts, shorten supply chains and build their brands.” ​

Albéa’s airless tubes, Lebelt said, offer the industry’s widest range of customization, including decoration technologies such as flexography, silkscreen, offset and hot stamping.

“All visual effects – whether photo-like, metallic-looking, matte and gloss or 3D printing -- are available on dispenser tubes to support customer creativity,”​ she said.

Specs​

Along with its heritage of tube production, Albéa now offers industry reference dispensers, such as the Nea and SP343.

The SP343 offers a wide range of finishes and actuator designs, and the ability to handle a wide range of viscosities. The Nea’s 100 per cent neutrality provides additional protection for delicate formulations and its high suction rate and soft actuation handles even the highest viscosities.

There are 25mm and 30mm diameter pumps available with the NEA pump and 25, 30 and 35mm with the SP343 pump, covering filling capacities from 15ml to 125ml; with new formats being launched in the coming months for higher capacities.
