Airless pack demand leads to new production site for Mega Airless
The rising demand for airless packaging solutions has led Mega Airless to announce a new production site in Villingen, Germany, in order to handle the influx in orders, says the company CEO Lucyna Silberstein.

The creation of Mega Airless’ 15,000 metre squared facility in southwest Germany is a direct result of increasing worldwide demand for the company’s innovative airless dispensing solutions.

The new site will handle production for the company’s cosmetic and pharmaceutical customers, including moulding, assembly, logistics, and decoration, such as silk-screening, labelling and hot-stamping.

“We design and manufacture high-performance airless packaging solutions for a growing group discerning brand owners,” says Silberstein.

“So it is fitting that our new, larger facility is also ‘high-performance’ – to further accelerate supply chain efficiencies and deliver the level of quality and service our customers expect and deserve.”

Going green

According to the packaging firm’s boss, the new facility is designed for optimal efficiency and will actually beat Germany’s EnEV 2009 energy savings requirements by 22 percent, thanks to intelligent construction and HVAC design.

In addition to such features as daylight dependent lighting controls, the building’s energy consumption is reduced through capture of waste heat from the injection moulding process and ventilation system and storage of heat in underground sprinkler tanks.

The company plans to move to its new energy-efficient site in the first quarter of 2014, with construction completed by the end of this year.

Service customers

The factory will help the company to service the growing demands of customers, particularly as the increase in products based upon new hybrid, complex formulations continues to grow. Thus, the need to differentiate true airless technology becomes more critical to brand owners.

“The best in ‘airless’ means performance, precision and protection,” Silberstein adds.

“The new Mega Airless facility will let us service and support the growing ranks of customers who rely on Mega Airless packaging for superior ROI, enhanced brand awareness and end-user satisfaction.”
