A busy week for the US cosmetics industry...
The events cover just about every aspect of the cosmetics industry and if you wanted to attend everything, you might find yourself hard pushed as there is some overlap.
However, fear not, as the entire Cosmetics Design editorial team is here in force, and planning on attending every event, to bring you all the highlights including the latest trends, product launches and all the latest technologies and innovations.
Suppliers Day 2013
First up is the Suppliers Day event, which will be opening its doors on Tuesday, May 14th. This is one of the most important events in the US for the ingredients segment, and is a showcase for all the latest product launches, as well as providing first class networking opportunities.
The two day event takes place at the exhibition center in Edison, New Jersey, and is a complete sell out every year. In recent years the dining area has been moved to a temporary marquee tent, while extra space has also been created in reception areas – all underlining how popular the show has now become.
This year key exhibitors will carry some of the biggest names in the cosmetics ingredients industry, including AAK, Ajinomoto North America, AkzoNobel, Alban Muller, Bell Flavors and Fragrances, Croda, Dow Chemical, Gattfossé, Honeywell, Lubrizol and Lucas Meyer Cosmetics.
Luxe Pack New York 2013
Focusing on premium packaging, the Luxe Pack New York event has also been growing each year, and this year the event will be bigger than ever when it opens its doors for two days, from May 15th.
Billed as the largest event ever to be held in New York, this year the show will include 165 exhibitors, thanks to an additional 8,500 square-feet of exhibition space that has been made available on the first floor of the Altman Building, in Manhattan’s Chelsea district.
The show will also have an expanded conference program that will include a Mintel Innovation and showcase area for the first time, together with presentations touching on areas such as the Brazil market, packaging life cycle, innovative packaging designs for global markets and packaging mega trends.
Sustainable Cosmetics Summit
Natural and organic remains one of the industry’s mega trends, and with sustainability becoming a key issue throughout the industry, Organic Monitor’s Sustainable Cosmetics Summit is always on top of the latest trends from this fast-evolving area.
The fourth North America edition of the conference is also taking place in Manhattan and will include a two day conference program, together with a third day workshop program, with the event opening its doors on Thursday, May 16th.
This year’s conference program will include five principle sessions, covering sustainability initiatives, novel green ingredients, marketing developments, a CEO roundtable and a session about consumer behavior, all topped off with a Saturday workshop focused on the challenges of formulating with green ingredients.
