Croda awarded for US manufacturing standards

Two of chemicals company Croda’s US manufacturing sites were awarded Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification by The European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients (EFfCI) last week.

The GMP certification recognises that the company’s manufacturing sites in New Castle, Delaware and Mill Hall, Pennsylvania conform to its guidelines for manufacturing quality.

The EFfCI award guidelines are regularly updated to reflect the constantly developing nature of the cosmetics industry.  The most recent revision of the EFfCI’s guidelines notes, “The quality of cosmetic ingredients is critical to assure the safety, quality and efficacy of cosmetic products and related personal care products.”

The award regulates standards of quality, suitability and purity in ingredients; Croda’s accreditation confirms the company’s position as a frontrunner in manufacturing standards in the US.

The accreditation comes as the latest in a series of GMP awards for Croda’s manufacturing plants across the world, including Japan, Singapore, France, Spain and the United Kingdom.
