Skincare Ingredients online event opens its doors next week!

June 18th is the date all skin care professionals need to mark in their diaries, as this is when the Skincare Ingredients 2014 event will open its doors for the fourth year.

Skincare Ingredient 2014 will open at 12pm Paris time, 6am New York time and 6pm Shanghai time, allowing skin care professionals from all over the world to take part in a full day of conference presentations and networking opportunities.

With a particular focus on research and development, this event has become a must attend for the professionals, scientists, marketers, brand owners and formulators who have a direct hand in the creation of skin care products over the years.

A look in the industry's most innovative category

Skin care is probably the most innovative and technically advanced category within the industry, and this is reflected in a range of technologies that are constantly evolving and being enhanced to meet with consumers’ ever-higher expectations.

In line with this, we have developed a conference programme that reflects some of the most cutting edge technologies the industry is about to give to the consumer, with presentations given by some of the most eminent and respected professionals in the category.

Sponsors of the event this year include Merck, Lubrizol, Air Products and Chemicals, Clariant International, Mibelle Biochemistry, Schott, together with Gattefossé, Aromtech, Corum and Rahn, who will all give product presentations as part of the event.

All the sponsors can also be found in the virtual exhibition and booth area, where attendees are welcome to network with company representatives at their stands.

Conference presentations begin at 12pm Paris time

The conference presentations kick off at 12pm Paris time, and will feature a total of 10 presentations, four of which have been produced by the Cosmetics Design editorial team, and the remaining six produced by sponsors.

Attendees are reminded that they should subscribe to the event 24 hours before it commences and that the subscription will then allow them to register for each of the individual presentations.

A market overview called Skin Deep Beauty – The ‘latest trend on the skin care market’, will start the programme, which will be hosted by Cosmetics Design’s Andrew McDougall and given by Karen Doskow, Kline & Company consumer product director.

Four presentations brought to you by Cosmetics Design

The next editorial presentation will start at 2:15pm Paris time and will be hosted by Cosmetics Design’s Michelle Yeomans.

Titled ‘To sell or not to sell? Tackling regulation in China - animal testing debate’, the discussion and presentation will involve input from April Guo, head of Cosmetics Regulatory Affairs, CIRS China, and Dr. Rodger Curren, president of the Institute for In Vitro Sciences.

Next up on the editorial programme is a presentation that will clue into the world of biotechnology, and more specifically the area of biomimetics, a technology that is helping to revolutionise certain areas of the facial care market, as well as the naturals category.

To round up, there will be a round table discussion titled ‘Formulation for the future’, which will feature a number speakers discussing what lies in the future, including Alexander Kielbassa, business development manager at Merck, and Elena Canadas, marketing director for Lubrizol, together with Dr. Rodger Curren and Karen Doskow.
