Fusion Packaging opens up showroom and office in Manhattan

In an effort to get closer to its customer base in the Eastern board, Dallas-based Fusion Packaging has opened up a showroom and office in the heart of Manhattan, New York.

The new premises are located on 36th Street, in the garment district, and last week the company held an open day to greet both its customers and members of the press.

The company was established ten years ago in Dallas, Texas, where it was in a good position to supply a number of the big players, especially Dallas-based direct seller Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Business has grown on a nationwide basis

However, over the years, the company’s business has grown extensively on a national basis, with the majority of its customers being located in the two main areas for the industry – The tri-state in the New York metropolitan area and the Los Angeles area.

“Building our presence in New York was the natural next step for Fusion,” stated Derek Harvey, who is the company’s Co-CEO.

“This showroom will allow us to be more accessible to clients and better facilitate discussions about our product innovations, design capabilities, and speed of development with the city’s vibrant community.”

Dallas will remain the company's headquarters

Although most of the company’s human resources will remain based at the company’s Dallas headquarters, a number of the executives will be increasingly dividing their time with the New York office in the future.

The company currently names some of the biggest players in the business as its partners, which besides Mary Kay also include Avon, Elizabeth Arden and StriVectin, thanks to its specialization in decorative effects and airless packaging.

Last month the company won the 2014 Ameristar Award for best Cosmetic Package with its Scene bottle, which features a shatter-proof, crystal-clear shade base for color indication that combines both polypropylene and PCTG resins.
