Cosmoprof North America opens up for business next week
The event features a wide range of beauty suppliers and manufacturers, together with a comprehensive conference program and a range of special events, and the Cosmetics Design team will also be present to relay some of the highlights from the event.
This year will include a number of new initiatives, including an interactive technology exhibit, together with a number of ‘beauty spotlights’ and a conference program with a focus on retail evolution.
Beauty Spotlights for 2014
This has traditionally been the platform for innovative and start-up beauty brands, and this year the area will highlight brands from all over the US, together with international players from Israel, Sweden and the UK.
Department-store style presentations form a hub at the center of the exhibition area, where brands such as Ayres Beauty, Dr Lili Fan, Gylcelene, Ila Spa and Jabu-she will all amongst 20 stands featuring cutting edge products.
The Spotlights section is an open lounge area inside Pavillion A, which is dedicated to the cosmetics and personal care sector.
Cosmoprof conference program
Focusing on how merchandising techniques for cosmetics are shaping up, the presentation will be entitled “The Retail Revolution’ and will take place on Monday July 14th, between 1pm and 2:30pm.
Taking the form of a roundtable, the session will be moderated by CEW vice president of content Andrea Nagel, who will be introducing a number of beauty retail professional and experts.
The panel of presenters will include Marcia Gaynor, head of prestige beauty for Walgreens, Nicky Kinnaird, Space NK founder, Richard Parrott, president of Rickys’ NYC and Shannon West, vice president of beauty for Costco Wholesale.
Interactive technology exhibition
There is a startling range of technologies that are targeting the beauty industry, and each year the choices seem to get evermore ambitious and, in many cases, just mind blowing.
This part of the exhibition has been put together by New Agency and will feature blue-sky concepts and experts that will explain and teach about the different technologies that are on display.
"The Digital Tool Booth will give beauty brand representatives a glimpse into how their web and YouTube presence compares to leaders in the industry," said Erick Brownstein, founder of The New Agency.
"The New Agency and our digital partners will be available to discuss strategies and share tools and tactics to help brands navigate more successfully through the ever changing digital landscape," he concluded.
