The awards have a category dedicated to the cosmetics personal care industry, which offers the chance to showcase the many packaging players in the New Jersey area and beyond, together with innovative packaging from the health, food and beverage and pharmaceutical sectors.
The NJPEC award organizers say that entries are now being accepted and that the closing date will be September 12, 2014, after which the winners will be announced at the annual Package of the Year Banquet, to be held November 20, 2014, at the Madison Hotel in Morristown, New Jersey.
Design, impact and uniqueness
This long-running award aims to platform the best in packaging technology and design innovation, as we well as providing brand exposure and recognition to some important names in the industry.
The panel of independent judges, which includes packaging and branding experts, together with trade media representatives, will be looking to evaluate all of the award entries according to a set criteria.

- Cost Effectiveness
- Graphic Representation
The panel of judges will also be giving out discretionary awards that will recognize six specific categories, including: sustainable packaging concepts, best of use stock packaging,marketing impact, technical merit, packaging innovation, and visual impact.
Targeting the year's most outstanding packaging
“As an organization that has been fostering packaging excellence for more than 35 years, these awards are a highlight for NJPEC. We are honored to recognize and celebrate the year’s most outstanding packaging achievement,” said Howie Greenberg, president of NJPEC and sales manager of Allstate Paper Box Company.
The awards are open to both members and non-members, with members able to submit one entry for free and subsequent entries at a discounted rate.
