Energizer reshuffles financial execs ahead of restructuring

Energizer has announced that Dan Sescleifer will be standing down as chief financial officer once the company’s planned restructuring is put in place.

At the same time, the company has announced two new heads of finance for the soon to be formed standalone household and personal care businesses.

Secleifer will continue to serve in the top position until the company puts the seal on the division of the business, which is expected to happen by July 1st, 2015.

Appointments reflect new business structure

Sandy Sheldon, who currently serves as the company’s vice president of finance, has now also been named as chief financial officer of the personal care products business until he takes over the new post.

To complete the new financial executive team, Brian Hamm, who currently serves as the company’s controller and chief accounting officer, will be appointed as chief financial officer of the household products division.

"In Brian and Sandy, we are fortunate to have two highly talented members of our management team who have the right skills and expertise to serve as the CFOs of standalone Household Products and Personal Care,” said Ward klein, Energizer CEO.

Sandy Sheldon to oversee finance for personal care

Sheldon has been in the position of VP of finance since 2006, and has developed an increasing level of responsibility in the time she has been in the role, having formerly held finance positions at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Ralston Purina.

"Sandy has considerable financial expertise and knows the Personal Care business well, having worked at Energizer for more than 20 years in a number of leadership roles in the financial organization,” said Klein.

“She will bring a strong focus to maintaining profitability and will lead the charge to drive enhanced cash flows to enable further investment in innovation and new product development. “
