Redken selects Brazilian Lea T for new ads
"My mum has beautiful hair, and when I was young, I was so envious of it…Hair is so important for a woman, and I'm so lucky [mine] is natural, strong, and shiny," Refinery29 reports the Brazilian model saying.
Singularly recognizable
Best known perhaps as a Givenchy model, Lea T was discovered by the company’s designer Riccardo Tisci in 2010. In May of this year this Time magazine included Lea T in their gallery of 21 transgender people who have influenced American culture.
"We're all people with our own personality, our own beauty, our own life," says Lea T. "I love working with Redken because they appreciate all kinds of beauty. They believe in the individuality of the person, and I think that's really important."
