Turkey and Middle East to be the focus at in-cosmetics
Next year’s in-cosmetics event in Barcelona will have a special country focus on Turkey and the Middle East as the markets are expected to grow.

It has become commonplace to have a country focus at the in-cosmetics events, following on from Brazil this year, and next year’s 25th anniversary show will have a look at what these new regions have to offer.

A dedicated pavilion will return to host ingredients manufacturers from Turkey and bordering regions, whilst a Turkey & Middle East Product Trail highlights unique products and projects from or inspired by the region.

The marketing trends programme returns as it does every year, and also includes a presentation from Euromonitor looking at the region’s key trends and statistics as part of its global beauty market presentation, while Mintel focuses on Middle Eastern Beauty Rituals and products from the region as part of its Product Demonstrations.

Dr Yavuz Özoguz of Halal certification specialists m-haditec, also speaks at the event, offering insights into the rise of Halal products and forecasts for growth, plus a guide to the complex area of certification.

Research company TechNavio forecasts that the global Halal cosmetics and personal care market will grow at a CAGR of 13.43% over the period 2013-2018.

This strong growth can be attributed to both the rise in the world’s Muslim population and continued strong demand from Malaysia and Indonesia – the two largest Halal beauty markets in the world.

The show also sees the return of some old favourites as the Innovation Zone returns to look at new ingredients and innovations and the Best Ingredient and Green Ingredient awards are on hand to celebrate the best ones.

There will also be a new award to celebrate 25 years of innovation that will recognise the ingredients that have made the biggest long-term impact in the personal care industry.

The in-cosmetics event takes place in Barcelona on the 14-16 April, 2015.
