Energizer names exec board for newly spun-off personal care business

Edgewell Holdings, the newly spun-off business formerly trading under the Energizer name, has had the line-up for its new executive board confirmed.

The announcement comes off the back of the completion of the previously announced tax-free separation of the House Products business – now known as Energizer Holdings, and Edgewell Personal care, which is due to be finalized on July 1st.

The new Edgewell board will include eight directors, six of whom will be independent, while the other two executives have been designated as CEO and chairman of the board.

The new positions include Ward Klein as executive chairman of the board, and David Hatfield as chief executive officer of Edgewell Personal Care, who are both being promoted internally to the new positions.

J Patrick Mulcahy gets the top job as chairman of the board for Edgewell, having already served as chairman of Energizer Holdings since 2007. He also served as CEO of Everyready Battery Company from 1985 to his retirement in 2005.

And the position of CEO goes to Alan Hoskins, who has a 32 year history with the company that includes a number of senior leadership positions, prior to his becoming head of household products and vice-president of the Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East from 2007 to 2012.
