People on the Move – the latest industry appointment

The latest edition of people on the move features key appointments from a cross-section of beauty providers, including Crabtree and Evelyn, Sibu Beauty and Estée Lauder.

As the owner of the Tom Ford Beauty, Estée Lauder has appointed Guillaume Jesel as the new senior vice president  and global general manager of the Tom Ford Beauty brand.

In the new position Jesel with lead the global beauty brand and will be working directly with president and CEO of Tom Ford International, Tom Ford, as well as reporting directly to John Demsey, group president.

“Guillaume is incredible,” said Tom Ford. “A great talent, a brilliant business man, and a wonderful leader. I could not be more pleased to have him as Tom Ford Beauty’s Global General Manager."

Jesel has been with the Estée Lauder group for the past 14 years and has already held senior positions with the Estée Lauder brand as well as MAC Cosmetics.

Crabtree & Evelyn appointment

Crabtree & Evelyn have confirmed the appointment of Brent Canning as global general counsel for the London-based company, who will be overseeing the company’s global legal strategy.

Based at the company’s US headquarters in Connecticut, Canning has most recently served as assistant general manager since his arrival at the company in 2011.

“Brent has been a valued asset to the legal department and the entire company. His dedication and good nature have made him a joy to work with and we welcome him to the senior leadership team,” said Crabtree & Evelyn, Ltd.’s chief financial officer, Koh Han Seow.

Sibu reinforces sales team

Utah-based beauty brand Sibu says it has strengthened its market position with the addition of Stuart Hutchinson as the senior director of sales & marketing, and Ashley Jantzen has been named the vice president of sales.

The company says that the appointments will help to strengthen the sales and distribution of its sea buckthorn based therapy products in the dietary supplement and skin/beauty markets, to grow socially, environmentally and financially.

Hutchinson has previously had more than 20 years’ experience in the natural products arena, while Jantzen is being promoted from national sales manager at the company, to the new position, having built up her experience with the brand.
