Each show boasts over 100+ exhibitors showcasing ingredients, packaging, new technologies, and more. And, thousands of visitors are expected to be on hand this September to see the latest and greatest across the beauty supply chain.
In transit
Just how nuanced the partnership is remains to be seen. For now a MakeUp in New York press release is highlighting complementary rides between the two trade shows. The collaboration “will include offering free shuttle transportation for visitors between the two venues.”
The MakeUp in New York event will be held at the Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn, New York. While, the in-cosmetics show is going to be at Pier 36 of Manhattan’s South Street Seaport.
“Taking place on the 7-8 September 2016 in venues situated just a few minutes apart, on Manhattan's Lower East Side and Brooklyn,” according to the press release, “the shows will work together to enable attendees to take advantage of the business and networking opportunities at both shows.”
Google Maps measures the distance between the sites at 5.8 miles, and estimates a one-way drive to take around 25 minutes. And, presumably the ride itself could present attendees with unique networking opportunities.
Learning experience
Both the in-cosmetics show and the MakeUp in show include educational forums. The in-cosmetics site calls attention to formulation, R&D, and testing workshops as well as marketing trend presentations and innovation seminars, covering ingredient developments and formulation techniques.
“The collaboration between MakeUp in NewYork and in-cosmetics will provide a unique experience of the entire beauty supply chain, a platform that explores the synergies between ingredients, formulation, packaging and accessories,” notes the release.
“Visitors will also benefit from a comprehensive educational programme with 100% free of charge presentations and workshops.”
