Attendee registration opened this month for Suppliers Day, which will be held on May 2nd and 3rd at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Manhattan’s far west side.
“NYSCC members and the chemical ingredients community have been overwhelming positive about the new Javits location in New York City,” Marie Thadal, chair and president of the NYSCC Executive Board, says in a recent press release.
“This May, Suppliers’ Day will be a hotbed of activity in beauty and personal care innovations and provide ample networking and business-building,” promises Thadal.

Many regular exhibitors and attendees—cosmetic chemists, ingredient executives, R&D specialists, formulators, communications pros, etc.—breathed a sigh of relief when last year the NYSCC announced plans to relocate the event.
“We are very excited to be exhibiting at the Javits Center in New York City this Suppliers’ Day. Being in the heart of the city, where beauty comes alive, where trends are created, and where consumers of all ages, demographics, and ethnicities are omnipresent, this show will ignite collaboration for the creation of the successful beauty and personal care products of the future, and we look forward to presenting our latest innovations here,” Beth Mota, marketing manager at Givaudan Active Beauty, tells the press.
Besides offering a larger and more up-to-date event venue, the city has numerous options for travel and overnight accommodations. Plus, the logistics of entertaining clients beyond the event will be less of challenge and not so time consuming as in New Jersey.
“Bringing the industry together, under one roof, for an immersive experience of discovering new products and connecting with peers is what Suppliers’ Day is all about,” Steve Weinberg, regional sales manager with raw materials provider Kinetik Technologies, says in the release. “Now being in New York, in one contiguous hall of exhibit space, will make the event even more accessible and conducive to the entire product development teams in the tri-state area as well as around the world.”
