NYSCC Suppliers Day 2017 comes to Manhattan

The organizers of the NYSCC Suppliers Day 2017 event will be making their last minute preparations before the event opens its doors at the Javits Center in Manhattan on May 2nd.

The decision to shift the event from its previous home in Edison, New Jersey will probably be well received by attendees as it makes for easy access, but for exhibitors the logistics of exhibiting in the heart of Manhattan may present some additional challenges.

In recent years the growth of the Suppliers Day event had meant that Raritan Center was bursting at the seams, with the addition of a marquee tent still meaning that some exhibitors could not find show floor space.

Bigger floor space means more exhibitors

The Javits Center will not only improve access for attendees, it also provides a lot more  floor space, which is why the NYSCC Suppliers Day committee is anticipating a significantly bigger show this year .

In 2016 there were over 8,000 registered visitors from over 31 countries who attended the two-day event and the move to NYC is only expected to grow the international element of the event.

Likewise, the 2016 event also attracted over 400 exhibitors and as usual supply was outstripped by demand, but with the bigger floor space at the Javits Center, that number is expected to grow considerably this year.

Innovation Alley and Future Chemists Workshop

This year’s event will include the Innovations Alley, highlight the latest innovation pipeline additions from some of the most important players in the industry, as well as the Future Chemists Workshop & Theatre, an initiative designed to encourage student involvement in the industry.

The Future Chemists workshop will take place on the first day of the event, while on May 3rd the conference program includes a focus on Digital Age of Beauty from 10am to 11.30am, as well as a segment on Discover Sustainability, from 10am to 1pm.

“Exhibitors are enthusiastic about the new Javits Center location for NYSCC, and are very receptive to a venue that will provide contiguous exhibit space offering optimal business exchange and learning for all attendees,” said Rey Ordiales, Chair of the NYSCC Executive Board.

“This early strong industry support, reaffirms that the new location makes the 2017 NYSCC Suppliers’ Day on track to be the most successful event to date.”
