The show has become an industry staple in Europe and is on track to repeat that success here in the States. “As supporters of the ADF event in Paris for a decade, we knew that the format would translate well in the USA, and being in New York made it an even more convenient location for many brand owners,” Jo Jackson, corporate marketing and innovation manager at Colep says in an interview on the event site.
She goes on to note that “last year [she and her team] were able to not only meet...current global customers and suppliers in one place, making effective use of the transatlantic travel, but also to meet with some of the local US players.”
ADF&PCD takes place September 6 and 7 at The Altman Building & Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.

Conference programs
“Our team has spent months conducting in-depth research, talking to brands and industry experts, to make sure we understood what the current industry challenges are,” explains Christelle Anya, show director for ADF&PCD in a media release about this year’s programming. “As a result, this year’s show has a really compelling line-up of topics and expert speakers that will address the major issues the industry faces today.”
“We are delighted to be offering such a high caliber and compelling conference program this year,” says Anya.
There are separate programs for the Aerosol Dispensing Forum and for the Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design. The PCD sessions include topics like ‘Use LinkedIn to discover innovation’ with Pamella Seales, key account manager with that social networking service; ‘Tackling the sustainability challenge’, with a panel of experts; and ‘The challenges of packaging in eCommerce’, which is also a panel discussion.
And on Thursday, September 7 at 10am, ‘Creating truly innovative beauty packaging’, a panel developed and moderated by Cosmetics Design senior correspondent Deanna Utroske will feature Jodi Katz, founder and creative director of Base Beauty Creative Agency, François Damide, of Crafting Beauty, and Laszlo Moharita, director of global beauty packaging at Johnson & Johnson.
