in-cosmetics Latin America is being held September 20 and 21 in São Paulo, Brazil, and will feature “a brand-new Make-Up Bar...alongside the popular Formulation Lab, Innovation Zone and Sensory Bar,” according to a press release about the upcoming tradeshow.
“We are delighted to be broadening the interactive offering at this year’s in-cosmetics Latin America and bringing more experiential ideas to the industry to aid their learning,” Daniel Zanetti, in-cosmetics Latin America’s event director, tells the press.
“It is important that we provide as many quality opportunities as possible for our exhibitors to have that valuable direct engagement with visitors,” says Zanetti. “Equally, for the R&D professionals, we are enabling them to test the products and see the benefits practically and first hand, gaining inspiration for future products.”
Active learning opportunity
The interactive Formulations Lab section of the show is a functioning cosmetics and personal care laboratory where R&D pros can participate in training workshops and “learn more about how to create winning formulations,” according to the in-cosmetics press release.
For the second year running, in-cosmetics Latin America will include a Sensory Bar section. Here, attendees can discover and touch the product formats made possible by today’s newest ingredients. Prototype product formulations developed by some of the exhibiting companies will be on display at the Sensory Bar too. Many of these formulations will incorporate “transformative textures, new fragrances and state-of-the-art pigments,” says the release
And, there are over 50 hours of educational programming on the schedule for this year’s edition of in-cosmetics Latin America. Beauty makers can learn about the latest regulatory issues, cosmetics and personal care industry trends, and more. There will also be market research presentations from Beautystreams, Euromonitor, Kline, Mintel, and Peclers Paris.
The protection category
Anti-pollution ingredients and protection products are gaining ground, as consumer awareness of air pollution, screen-generated light pollution, the realities of photoaging, etc. is increasing.
The in-cosmetics show organizers have picked up on the protection trend and are introducing attendees to what’s going on in that space. “Another new addition to in-cosmetics Latin America, the Protection Showcase will highlight products and raw materials that have anti-aging and anti-pollution benefits along with UV protection, anti-insect products and other protective ingredients.”
