The competition was opened up for entries last week and the finalists will be showcased at the Cosmoprof North America event, held in Las Vegas at the end of July.
The FIDM undergrad students are being challenged to create a beauty concept that take a look in at how the world of beauty might look in the next generation, with final submissions being invited for mid-June to allow time for the judges to make their decisions ahead of the CNPA event.
A significant opportunity to platform new talent
The winners will be featured exclusively on the show floor of the CPNA event, which will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Centre, from July 29th to 31st.
“We are thrilled to work with FIDM on this unique project,” said Daniela Ciocan, Marketing Director at CPNA.
“Not only do we have the opportunity to support the next generation of beauty industry professionals but we also get to share their futuristic concepts to our forward-thinking beauty lovers at our upcomming event.”
About the challenge
CNPA says that the challenge has been designed to give students first-hand experience with international companies, while also providing a novel and interactive way of developing key business skills.
The competition will consist of five teams, each of which will be focused on one beauty category and consisting of one graphic design and one beauty marketing student, who will all asked to cast their thoughts more than 30 years into the future to envision what beauty concepts will look like.
This might taken into consider smart delivery techniques and further progress in the area of biochemistry on the formulation side, while smart packaging might prove to have turned new corners.
Besides industry insight, the winning team will also receive monetary compensation, VIP entry to CPNA 2018 and tailored networking opportunities.
